Feature/Enhancement

Description

Workflow Enhancements and Cancellation Support

Several enhancements have been introduced in the global workflow template management to improve workflow usability and governance across the platform:

  • Workflow Cancellation

Users can now cancel an ongoing workflow approval request when needed.

  • Template Usage Count

The platform now displays how many times each workflow template is used across entities in the platform.

  • Notifications

Approvers and requestors now receive email and in-app notifications based on workflow status, such as creation or approval.

  • Entity Visibility

Entities in Draft status are now visible only to the requester.

Entities in In Review status are now visible only to the requester and the assigned approver.

  • Deletion Handling

If an entity in In Review or Sent for Rework status is deleted by the requester, the approver is notified.

  • Workflow History

Workflow history now tracks all actions, including multiple rework cycles.

  • Comments Tracking

Users can now add comments while submitting an approval request. These are recorded in the workflow history.

  • Approval Scheduling and Rework Limit

Approval scheduling and rework limits are now supported for Idea Creation, User Feedback, Policy Templates, and Portfolio Budget.

Support for Airbyte Integration Calibo Accelerate now supports Airbyte for data integration. You can create jobs using existing connections in Airbyte by selecting the appropriate connection in Calibo Accelerate. With this support, you can run Airbyte jobs for integration for source and target combinations supported by Airbyte but not natively supported by Calibo Accelerate. The ingested data can then be used for other data pipeline jobs like data transformation, data quality, and data visualization in Calibo Accelerate.
Implicit nodes for dbt, Fivetran, and Airbyte with expand and collapse functionality Self-executable dbt transformation nodes and Fivetran and Airbyte integration nodes now provide built-in connectors for a wide range of source and target systems. Based on the connection selected in the configuration, the supported source and target nodes are automatically added as implicit nodes in Calibo Accelerate. You can use the Lineage toggle to view the upstream and downstream nodes in the integration pipeline.
Simplified and enhanced data quality feature with combined stages and automated rule suggestion

Previously, the Data Quality feature for Unity Catalog in DPS consisted of four separate stages and required manual creation of data quality rules for dataset validation.

To simplify and automate the workflow, these stages have now been consolidated into two streamlined stages:

  • Data Integration stage – Combines Data Ingestion and Data Profiler into a single stage to streamline data ingestion and profiling.

  • DQ Processor stage – Combines the Data Analyzer, Data Validator, and Issue Resolver stages into a unified processing stage.

In addition, the Data Quality feature in DPS now integrates with AWS DQDL, an industry-standard framework for defining data quality rules. This integration simplifies rule creation and supports users with varying levels of expertise through the following options:

  1. Automatic rule generation – Automatically generates data quality rules based on the selected dataset, ideal for users with limited knowledge of data quality rules but a clear understanding of the desired outcome.

  2. UI-based rule creation – Enables users with a working knowledge of data quality rules to create analyzer and validator rules by selecting predefined rules, columns, or reference tables.

  3. Code Editor – Allows expert users to write data quality rules from scratch for advanced and customized use cases.

These enhancements significantly reduce configuration effort while improving usability and scalability of data quality management in DPS. By consolidating stages and offering flexible, standards-based rule creation options, users can implement robust data quality checks more efficiently, regardless of their level of expertise.

Snyk support for container image security scanning

Calibo Accelerate now supports Snyk (Cloud) as a container image security scanning tool within automated CI/CD pipelines. In this release, Snyk support is available for Docker and Kubernetes deployment modes with GitHub Actions as a CI/CD tool.

You can configure Snyk centrally, select it at the stage level as the Container Image Scanning Tool, and enforce severity-based security gates that automatically fail CI pipelines when vulnerabilities exceed the defined thresholds.

Snyk scan results are visible across pipeline views, technology deployment details, and monitoring dashboards, with full audit logging and direct links to the associated Snyk projects.

Snyk integration support for Jenkins as a CI/CD tool will be added in a subsequent release.

AWS Lambda deployment support using AWS SAM with GitHub Actions as CI/CD tool

Calibo Accelerate now supports serverless application deployments to AWS Lambda using AWS Serverless Application Model (SAM) with GitHub Actions–based CI/CD pipelines. You can configure deployment stages using the Serverless mode, add Lambda-based technologies, and deploy functions using SAM and AWS CloudFormation.

With this support, you can configure all required AWS Lambda deployment options—such as the SAM template path, IAM roles, CloudFormation parameters, and artifact locations—directly from the Calibo Accelerate UI.

You can also monitor deployment progress, view logs and metrics, and test Lambda functions from within the platform, without switching to the AWS console.

Support for AWS Lambda deployments using AWS SAM with Jenkins as a CI/CD tool will be added in a subsequent release.

Support for the latest versions of technologies

Support for the following latest versions of tools is now available on the Calibo Accelerate Platform.

  • Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) 1.33

  • JFrog 7.104.15

  • Visual Studio 4.103.1

  • Gradle 9

  • SonarQube 2025.x
